FAQ
Can I be liquidated?
No. There is no liquidation price. The position runs to expiry (or until you close it) regardless of price movement. The trade-off is that the LP takes a share of profits.
What is the maximum I can lose?
Your collateral plus the open fee. That’s it. If the asset price goes to zero, the LP absorbs the loss beyond your collateral.
Do I pay funding or interest?
No. There is no funding rate and no interest on the borrowed portion. You pay only: open fee (0.05%), close fee (0.05%), and — if profitable — profit share.
How do durations work?
You pick from five fixed buckets: 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days. At expiry the position is automatically closed. You can also close early at any time.
What if I want out before expiry?
Close any time, full or partial. Fees are pro-rated on the closed portion. No penalty.
How does partial close work?
Close any percentage (e.g. 50%). The protocol unwinds that share of the asset, repays that share of the LP’s portion, returns your share of profit/loss, and leaves the rest of the position open until expiry or further closes.
Can I set a take-profit or stop-loss?
Yes, both. Triggers run independently of expiry; a keeper closes your position when the oracle price crosses the trigger.
What assets can I trade?
20 markets: SOL, BTC, ETH, and 17 tokenized US stocks (xStocks) — see Supported Assets. New markets are added over time.
What’s an xStock?
A tokenized representation of a real US-listed share or index, issued by Backed Finance (a regulated Swiss issuer). When you trade, for example, TSLAx on AlphaDEX, you’re gaining leveraged exposure to actual Tesla shares held one-for-one by the custodian. AlphaDEX is not the issuer; see alphadex.cc/disclaimer.
What happens during a weekend / overnight for xStocks?
New xStock positions can be opened only while the underlying US market is open (when the Pyth feed is live). Already-open positions are held through market-close and beyond normally, and can be closed using the last valid feed price if needed.
Can US residents use AlphaDEX?
No. Access from the United States is not permitted. See Terms.
Is there a token?
No AlphaDEX token is announced. Anything else is not us — ignore it.
Where do I report a bug?
See Security.
